Abstract

Restorative Justice approach enforced for protection and justice for the society at large. Restorative justice efforts in completing to resolve criminal cases without justice and prison sentences, and uphold a sense of justice and avoid negative stigma for the parties concerned, and aims to provide awareness and minimize the transmission of bad behavior for the perpetrators of criminal acts. This research uses data search techniques to obtain materials / data that can provide information and strengthen primary and secondary data. The study of this document can be done through observing existing case files and comparing them with existing facts. The data will be analyzed using normative research methods. Law enforcement in Indonesia has attempted to take a Restorative Justice approach and the police and prosecutors have implemented this approach in resolving criminal cases. But in the implementation of this method not at all criminal cases can be resolved, only minor crimes and parties agreed to make a peace. It is also to avoid the buildup of cases and to crack down on minor criminal cases in the community.
