Abstract

The existence of a forest area in a spesific region is part of the provincial and regency/municipal territory concerned so that the spatial planning policy for the province and regency/municipality will have broad implications for the existence of the forest area. Spatial lay-out is a processing system of spatial planning, using, and controlling. The production forest area is one of the objects that are included in spatial planning by RTRW in National RTRW, Provincial RTRW, and Regency/City RTRW, which are manifested in protected areas and cultivation areas. Thus, the utilization of the production forests included in Spatial Lay-out Law about the classification of cultivation areas becomes one of the Regional Spatial Plans in government programs, let it be in National, Provincial, and Regency/City RTRWs. Production Forest is a forest area which has the main function of producing forest products. This definition is regulated in Article 1 paragraph (7) of the Forestry Law. Production forest itself is divided into 3 types, namely permanent production forest, limited production forest, and converted production forest.
