Abstract

The thesis entitled "The Status of Inheritance of Copyright by an Inheritance with Change of Citizenship and Passes Away Without Heir", has the formulation of the problem: What is the status of inheritance in the form of Copyright from an Creator who died without heir where the Creator changes nationality. The countries studied in this study are the United States of America and Germany. The research was conducted using a normative research with comparative approach. The results of the study concluded that the United States and Germany had the same outcome as the regulation in Indonesia, that it would fall to the state. Inheritance of a copyright without heir in the two countries follows the legal provisions of the inheritance, which falls to the state, so that the status of the copyright inheritance of an Creator who passes away without heir where the Creator changes citizenship will fall into the country which becomes his/her new citizenship.
