Abstract
The title of legal writing in this study is the control of environmental damage due to illegal sand mining in Pasir Sakti District, East Lampung Regency, where the problem in this study is environmental damage due to illegal sand mining. The purpose of this study was to determine how to control environmental damage due to illegal sand mining and what are the obstacles in controlling environmental damage due to illegal sand mining. Control includes prevention, countermeasures and recovery. The writing of this law uses the empirical writing method wherein this writing takes into account social facts in the field and the data is obtained from several interviews with respondents, books, and sources of information. The conclusion of this research is that the Environmental Service of East Lampung Regency in the implementation of control has not been implemented optimally where control in the form of prevention already exists in the form of instruments or regulations, control in the form of countermeasures is in the implementation process while control in the form of recovery has not been implemented at all because of the formation of divisions The control of environmental damage and environmental pollution in the Environmental Service of East Lampung Regency was only formed in 2018 and there are several obstacles in the field. Even so, the Environmental Agency of East Lampung Regency has done its best. The author has suggestions to the environmental service of East Lampung Regency and local government to control environmental damage as much as possible as a form of the impact of illegal sand mining activities / activities in Pasir Sakti District, East Lampung Regency.
