Abstract

Initially, child art workers are an activity that is expected to be able to introduce culture to the children themselves in the hope that children can continue to preserve existing cultures. However, introducing art to children can be a criminal act. The purpose of this study was to determine how the criminalization of acts involving children as traditional art workers in the perspective of law on child protection and cultural preservation. The research method is normative legal research with a research focus on analyzing the law on child protection. Primary and secondary data sources. Research results Cultural preservation efforts by introducing to children can be a criminal act involving children in child protection law and cultural preservation in the event of economic exploitation and eliminating children's rights that are contrary to Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning Manpower and the Republic of Indonesia Law. Indonesia Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. Cultural preservation can be carried out by not eliminating the rights of children that have been determined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child which results in exploitation of children
