Abstract

Laundry business is one of the businesses that must have an SPPL, but in practice there are some laundry business actors who do not have an SPPL, so the author raises the title “Implementation Environmental Management Statement (SPPL) by Laundry Business as Efforts to Prevent Environmental Pollution in Yogyakarta City“. The formulation of the problem, how is the implementation of SPPL by the laundry business as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in the city of Yogyakarta and what are barriers and solution in implementing SPPL by laundry businesses as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in the city of Yogyakarta. The author uses empiric legal research methods. Based on the result of the research, the authors conclude that First, SPPL by Laundry Business Actors in Pandeyan Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City is still not being carried out properly and not maximally, due to the fact that there are still business actors/laundry initiators who do not have SPPL. Second, Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Yogyakarta still lacks human resources to provide broad and systematic socialization or counseling to all laundry business actors in Yogyakarta City regarding SPPL and laundry business actors do not report in the coordination which relate environmental licensing.
