Abstract
The ambulance is one of the priority vehicles as stated in Article 134 of Law Number 22 of 2009, but in fact, ambulances still experience problems while on the road. Therefore, an escorting community emerged that helped the ambulance going to the hospital. However, some elements from the community used rotator lights while doing escorting. This writing aims to determine the application of Article 59 of Law Number 22 of 2009 on the use of rotator lights in the ambulance escorting community. The research method used is empirical legal research by obtaining direct data from interviews with IEA members and the Head of the Traffic Unit at the Sukoharjo Police. The IEA does not permit the use of rotator lamps, but some members wish to use them for personal responsibility. The police also do not allow the use of rotator lamps by civil society, there is no excuse for forgiveness and justification because it is following Law Number 22 of 2009. So that the police take both oral and written actions, ranging from reprimanding, crossing to removing the rotator lamp.
