Abstract

The success of an e-commerce application depends on the effectiveness and user acceptance of the application. Analysis of user needs and user experience is very important to support the success of an e-commerce application. User experience (UX) is a study that identifies the interaction of user needs, expectations, and acceptance of products or features in e-commerce. In this paper, we will test mobile e-commerce applications with B2C (Business to Customer) business models in Indonesia. In this study two mobile e-commerce applications will be tested using usability metrics by looking at the success rate of task completion, the time needed to complete a task, and testing the level of satisfaction after the use of e-commerce applications by respondents. Testing data collection is done in two ways including the task of Scenario testing and User Experience Question (UEQ). This test is used to see the comparison of two e-commerce with the best rating in Indonesia, where the functionality of a system can be used by users effectively, efficiently and satisfactorily in achieving certain goals and finding features that are potentially efficient towards customer satisfaction of each e-commerce being tested. In this study, the results of the task scenario testing comparison on two mobile e-commerce applications on search product features and payment features with a significant time difference. The level of user satisfaction is on an average scale of 2.05 to 2.53, meaning that the two applications tested are in the zone of positive responses to satisfaction when using the application.
