Abstract

Advocate is an honorable profession because lawyers helped shape and maintain the stability of the law of a State. Advocates also provide legal services both in court and outside court. Advocate in carrying out their profession needs to be protected Act No. 18 Year 2003 on Advocates to protect the rights advocate. Advocates in their profession also needs to be regulated and adhere to the Code of Ethics of Advocates, so that advocates their profession according to professional standards of lawyers and do not perform well violations of applicable law or the Code. Code of Conduct is the supreme law and must be obeyed by every lawyer, although there has been an Advocate of the Code on the fact there are many lawyers who make violations of ethics codes. The purpose of writing this law done to determine if the cause of barrier implementation of the Code of Ethics and what efforts can be done to overcome barriers to implementation of the code of ethics advocates. Results of the writing of this law knowing that the implementation of the Code of Ethics Advocate barriers caused from factors in the self advocates who are not concerned with the Code of Conduct and more concerned with personal interests than running a noble profession. Another factor that causes these obstacles is the number of advocacy organizations who were born since the outbreak of the advocate organization that has been set up jointly. Advocacy organizations have codes of ethics are different, so the implementation of the code of ethics for lawyers to be hampered enforced against members who violate the code of ethics. The research method used in the writing of this law is a normative method that focuses on the norms of positive law. This law requires the writing of secondary data as the primary data and primary data in the form of legislation as a data supplement.
