Abstract

The title of this research is "Acquisition of Building Use Rights on Land After the Entry of Law Number 13 Year 2012 Concerning the Privileges of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the City of Yogyakarta". This study aims to provide knowledge and explanations about the acquisition of Building Use Rights on land owned by the Sultanate before and after the enactment of Law Number 13 Year 2012, concerning the Privileges of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the City of Yogyakarta. The researcher uses an empirical method. The data used are primary data supported by secondary data. The data obtained are from some respondents and resource people. The data are analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that after the issuance of the Privileges Law No. 13 Year 2012, the applications for building use rights on land owned by the Sultanate are able to be carried out whereas before the issuance of the law the application for building rights on the land of the Sultanate could not be realized because the Sultanate was not the subject of this law. The enactment of the privilege law also creates different terms and application procedures from the previous one.
