Abstract

The study, entitled “Review of Criminal Law Against Children as Victims Of Rape” is related to the rights of children as victims of rape to receive protection. This study aims to find out and analyze how criminal law provides legal protection for children as victims of rape and to find out and analyze what obstacles occur in criminal law while providing legal protection for children as victims of rape.The formulation of the problem of this research is how is the criminal law in providing legal protection for children as victims of rape? and what are the obstacles that occur in criminal law in providing legal protection for children as victims of rape?.Legal research was carried out using normative research methods using laws and regulations on child protection and interviews from sources. Based on the legal research method, it can be concluded that Article 285 of the Criminal Code itself has provided clear protection for children who have experienced rape. Obstacles experienced by the criminal law itself, such as sometimes child witnesses do not want to give testimony because their parents or children as victims are not allowed to experience trauma so they cannot give testimony.
