Abstract

The tittle of the legal research is law enfforcement againts environmental pollution areas without smoking in Sleman District. The environment is an important element in supporting human life and needs to be maintained so that humans can have a decent place to live. The times are growing, the more problem that arise. One of the things found is the lifestyle of people in smoking activities. Smoking activities also contribute to worsening air quality. Furthermore, to get a clean environment without air pollution, it is necessary to implement a No Smoking Area to protect the interests of other people especially in Sleman District. This research is empirical legal research directly on respondents to obtain primary data and supplemented with secondary data.Based on the results of the study, Enforcement of the Regulation of the Non-Smoking Area is regulated in Peraturan Bupati Sleman Nomor 42 Tahun 2012 tentang Kawasan Tanpa Rokok as the first district in Yogyakarta to stipulate Sleman Regent's Regulation Number 42 of 2012 concerning Non-Smoking Areas. Regent's Regulation on Non-Smoking Areas as a means to increase the community's right to clean air and also regulates sanctions for people who violate the provisions contained in that Regulation.
