Abstract

Yogyakarta is one of the region in Indonesia with so many historical relics. Historical relics in Yogyakarta until now are used for tourist attraction that is visited by many historical tourist attractions. Sambisari Temple is one of the unique temples, the temple located in the north of Adi Sucipto Airport Yogyakarta has the story of ancient history like other temples. Sambisari Temple is one of the temples that many visitors. In this research, the problem examined is about legal protection for sambisari temples for damage caused by tourism. This research uses a type of empirical legal research is research that focuses on social facts. The data used in this study are secondary and primary data. Press the data collection using interviews and questionnaires conducted at the Sleman Cultural Heritage Protection Agency. The results of this study state that there are currently no written rules to protect the temple sambisari from damage caused by tourism dak damage that occurs in the temple sambisari majority caused by tourists who come to visit and the lack of officers on guard.
