Abstract
Legal Memorandum under the title "Daughter's Rights to Inheritance of Biological Parents in the Indigenous Law Community of the Loura Tribe in Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province", and analyzing inheritance as the main problem because it adheres to a patrilineal lineage which causes the division of inheritance to be unequalled. It goes on the equality between sons and daughters. This legal writing was compiled in the form of a legal note with the following systematics: background of the problem, scope of the study, legal opinion, and ended with conclusions and suggestions. Indonesia adheres to many lineages, one of which is patrilineal which raises important issues regarding the distribution of inheritance. Primary data obtained from positive law and secondary data in the form of legal opinions obtained from the literatures related. The results of the study indicated that inheritance between daughters and sons must comply with local customary law.
