Abstract

This study focuses on violations of civil servant discipline after the enactment of Law No. 5 of 2014 in the Merauke State Attorney's Office. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of civil servant discipline and the obstacles that arise in improving the discipline of civil servants in the Merauke State Attorney's Office after the enactment of Law No. 5 of 2014 concerning the State Civil Apparatus. The research method used is normative juridical. The data that the author uses are secondary data in which there are primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. The primary legal materials used are statutory regulations and a series of positive laws that are related to the writing of this thesis and secondary legal materials that support the arguments from primary legal materials in the form of books, scientific journals, authentic manuscripts, dictionaries and also interviews with resource persons related to the writing of this thesis. The data analysis method used is normative juridical law research that focuses on legislation and positive law which is then reviewed and described in a descriptive form that provides analysis and also opinions on the problems studied. The results of the study show that in the period 2014 until now no employees have been dismissed, but there are still members of the public prosecutor's office who commit minor disciplinary violations and the obstacles in implementing employee discipline within the Merauke public prosecutor's office are technical matters.
