Abstract

Traffic accidents often occur in people's lives, not infrequently the perpetrators are children. Transportation is an important part of human life. Motorcycle become one of the modes of transportation for Indonesian society, because they are considered more efficient than other transportation, ranging from adults to children. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, we often encounter traffic violations committed by children, which are dominated by a student. Where these students ride motorbikes without having a SIM-C. SIM-C can be obtained with one of the conditions that already 17 years old. It was noted that in 2020 there were as many as 205 cases of accidents caused by children, of which 70 were not injured, 133 were lightly injured and 2 died. In 2021 there were 174 cases of accidents caused by underage drivers, of which there were 92 victims who suffered minor injuries, 72 victims were not injured and 10 cases of accidents caused the victim to die. The effort of the police in this case is to do a ticket. In the case of an accident involving a child as a suspect, the Bantul Police Traffic Police made diversion efforts. In an effort to create a deterrent effect on the perpetrators of the diversion agreement, in addition to returning losses to the victim, it can also be in the form of providing services to the community
