Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the obstacles faced by the Maluku Provincial Government in realizing food security through local wisdom during the covid -19 pandemic and to find out the efforts of the Maluku Provincial Government in overcoming obstacles and realizing food security through sago as a local food in the future. covid-19 pandemic. The method of research used in this legal writing uses normative law, namely research focusing on legal norms where the data in normative legal research consists of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials so that this research focuses on the Maluku Provincial Government's Efforts in Achieving Food Security in the covid-19 Pandemic Period. Through Sago Local Wisdom. Sago as Maluku local wisdom is known to be increasingly neglected and not a concern due to changes in people's eating patterns and consumption, making the Maluku Provincial Food Security Agency experience obstacles to realizing food security through sago during the covid - 19 pandemic, including the community's dependence on rice, the value of the selling price of sago is high, and there is a conversion of sago forest land. The Maluku Provincial Food Security Service is known to have a main program, namely food diversification, one of which is sago empowerment as an effort to realize food security based on local wisdom. The food diversification program implemented by the Maluku Provincial Resilience Service includes 3 (three) things, namely community food reserves, food diversification and food assistance.
