Abstract
Children who are the sprouts of the nation and the future generation must get protection, so the role of the Yogyakarta City government is needed in assisting minors in Yogyakarta City who commit drug crimes. The Yogyakarta City Government has made efforts against children perpetrators of drug crimes to ensure the welfare of children victims of drug abuse by providing assistance carried out by the Yogyakarta City Social Service from the initial stage, namely when receiving reports from investigators, until the stage after carrying out criminal punishment in the form of rehabilitation by applying diversion in every stage carried out by children victims of drug abuse. This legal research is carried out by empirical juridical research methods or in other words is a type of sociological legal research or field research, which examines the applicable legal provisions that have occurred in people's lives. This research was conducted on the actual situation in order to find out and find the facts and data needed.
