Abstract

The rapid development of information makes people curiosity higher and they want to try one of the services or platforms that can provide loans online. With a selfie photo with an Identity Card, someone can easily make a loan online. However, the convenience provided has a negative impact, such as a lack of security, resulting in the leakage of personal data by online loan service providers, causing a negative impact on the victim in addition to losses in the form of a sum of money. This thesis is intended so that cases of leaking personal data of consumers of online loan services get attention and the government can make a legal product regarding to the protection of personal data that is clear and specific. Hopefully it will increases public legal awareness about the importance of keeping personal data from being leaked so that cases of personal data leakage do not become more massive happening in society
