Abstract

Liquid chemicals to be burned by e-cigarettes are hazardous materials and have a bad impact, but unfortunately the Regulation of the Sleman Regent concerning KTR has not accommodated the legal provisions that discuss e-cigarettes and legal protection of health for passive smokers. The author uses normative legal research methods. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the authors can conclude that the form of legal protection for public health from the dangers of electric cigarettes is based on the Sleman Regent Regulation concerning KTR, namely the Sleman District Health Office in collaboration with the Sleman Regency Satpol PP to reprimand and take appropriate action. asserted the electric smokers who smoke in KTR, referring to the meaning of Article 1 of Sleman Regent Regulation concerning KTR, by interpreting the phrase «other forms» in Article 1 as electric cigarettes. Obstacles in protecting Public Health from the Dangers of Electric Cigarettes in Sleman Regency based on Sleman Regent Regulation concerning KTR, namely there are still many people who are not aware of smoking in KTR and there is still uncertainty in Sleman Regent Regulation concerning KTR, in which e-cigarettes have not been clearly accommodated in the regulation.
