Abstract
The title of this legal writing is The Responsibility of Parent to Prevent the Happenings of Underage Marriage. This legal research intended to know the legal concept of underage marriage in Indonesia and to comprehend about the sanction towards parents of which were proven as not prevent the happenings of underage marriage. The method of research used in this legal writing was normative legal research method, i.e. a research focusing on valid legal norms in Indonesia. From the result of this research it gained conclusion that the legal concept of underage marriage emerges many interpretation and there has not been any strict punishment towards the parents who do not conduct their responsibility to prevent the happenings of underage marriage
