Abstract

Industrial processes cannot be separated from the role of the worker. Modern industrial operations, including those taking place right now, have made extensive use of high-tech production machinery. Employees must manually operate the machine and contact it directly. The machines used materials are of good quality, but there is high risk and that affects the worker’s health, and safety. This study's purpose was to know the implementation of workplace safety and health during the Covid-19 pandemic at PT. Bintang Indokarya Gemilang, also to know about the obstacles by PT Bintang Indokarya Gemilang in implementing occupational safety and health during Covid-19. The research conclusion is that PT. Bintang Indokarya Gemilang has implemented occupational safety and health during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order to ensure that this implementation of occupational safety and health during the Covid-19 pandemic is handled right, the company has taken steps to stop the virus from spreading within the workplace, protect employees from the risks of work accidents, and lower the number of work accidents. PT. Bintang Indokarya Gemilang encountered obstacles when implementing occupational safety and health, including worker awareness of the subject's significance and disregard for the possibility of dangerous workplace accidents.
