Abstract

The title of legal writing in this study is a juridical review regarding the existence of laws and regulations at the stage of searching personal data based on case studies of members of the police, where the problem in this research is how the existence of laws and regulations regarding searches of personal data is found, because cases involving the police as law enforcement officers who conduct searches of electronic goods in the form of someone's cellphone containing someone's personal data without showing a permit from the local district court to conduct a search and use methods that do not respect someone's privacy so that it can cause violations of human rights man. This legal writing uses a normative writing method where the Act is the primary data source. The conclusion of this study is that regulations regarding searches of personal data have been regulated in the Information and Electronic Transactions Act whose search procedures refer to the Criminal Procedure Code, as well as the existence of laws and regulations regarding searches of personal data. carried out by members of the police against personal data that is not in accordance with procedures and actions that have violated human rights.
