Abstract

Since the covid-19 pandemic happen, the amount of medical waste has increased and more varied especially in health care facilities. The purpose of this research is to find out the proper and appropriate implementation of management covid-19 medical waste so that environmental pollution does not occur and the virus does not spread through the covid-19 medical waste. The research method used is an empirical research method that focuses on social facts. Empirical research method where the type of data used is primary data with interviews and secondary data from literature studies. The implementation of management covid-19 medical waste in the context of preventing environmental pollution, especially at the Jetis Health Center as one of the health service facilities in the City of Yogyakarta has been going well, but in general the management of covid-19 medical waste in the City of Yogyakarta is not yet optimal because there are still several obstacles experienced by the government such as lack of the amount of covid-19 medical waste report by the other health care facilites.
