Abstract
Law problems include government problems and responsibilities about street kids rights for better health services. This research aims to know and gather data about government responsibilities and the problems in order to improve health services for street kids. This research uses normative method which gathers data from library research and interviews some informants and qualitative method for data analysis. The result offers some programs: children protection and control programs from Labor Offices and Office of Social Services, and prevention programs from Office of Education by training them, giving free tuition fee, and giving free health services. The Government has limited expenses so some street kids can’t get formal education. Besides, the other problems are the street kids willingness and their family financial problems. Labor offices, the Office of Social Services, and the Office of Family Planning have cooperated with some visit houses: Girlan visit house, Pambudi visit house, and Diponegoro visit house. In there, they will get formal education, training, and health services freely. However, there are only a few street kids that want to stay in the visit house. They prefer living in the street to earn money. Poverty also becomes the problem of Government policy implementation to abolish the worst jobs for children. This research recommends Labor Offices, the Office of Social Services, and the Office of Family Planning in Sleman regency to improve better control for children who become street workers. They are trained well, so they don’t entrap again in the negative situation.
