Abstract
Lakipadada Regional General Hospital is one of the health service institutions located in Tana Toraja Regency. Medical activities carried out at the Lakipadada Regional General Hospital will certainly produce waste that can damage the environment if management of the waste produced is not carried out. Waste produced by hospitals must be managed in accordance with applicable legal provisions, as an effort to prevent environmental pollution. Therefore, the author is interested in studying the Legal Aspects of Waste Management of the Lakipadada Tana Toraja Regional Public House as an Effort to Prevent Pollution in the Environment of Tana Toraja Regency. This study aims to be able to find out how the implementation of waste management at the Lakipadada Tana Toraja Regional General Hospital, and find out the obstacles that occur in the waste management process and provide solutions to the obstacles experienced by the Lakipadada Tana Toraja Regional General Hospital in carrying out waste management as an effort to prevent pollution. The results of this study show that the waste management of the Lakipadada Regional General Hospital is in accordance with applicable legal provisions but in its implementation it is still not optimal, so the solution that can be provided is that hospitals need to develop all aspects related to the management process so that pollution prevention is more optimal and runs well
