Abstract

A polluted Bedog River, located across Guwosari Village, Pajangan District, Bantul Regency, is located right in Padukuhan Kembang Putihan. The community should participate in environmental management and environmental protection, but in fact the participation of the community near the Bedog River flow, namely the community in Guwosari Village, Pajangan District, Bantul Regency has not run perfectly. The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the form of community participation in preventing pollution of the Bedog River flow in Guwosari Village, Pajangan District, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province? and what are the barriers to community participation in preventing pollution of the Bedog River flow in Guwosari Village, Pajangan District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The author uses empirical legal research methods. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the authors can conclude that community participation in preventing pollution in the Bedog River flow in Bantul Regency First conducts social supervision in the form of monitoring and protecting the environment in the Bedog River flow, Second making complaints and/or delivering information and/or report to the Bantul Regency Environmental Service to immediately take action against the perpetrators who have polluted the river, Third, carry out PPLH activities that are carried out independently and/or in partnership with the Bantul Regency Environmental Service and/or other institutions, and Fourth, provide assistance to PPLH activities. by Karang Taruna Dipo Ratna Muda to the people who are on the banks of the Bedog River. Barriers to community participation in preventing pollution of the Bedog River flow in Guwosari Village, Pajangan District, Pajangan Regency, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region Province, namely the concern factor, the awareness factor and the fear factor from the community.
