Abstract
Water pollution in rivers is a serious environmental issue in various regions worldwide. One example is the Kedang Pahu River in Kecamatan Damai, Kabupaten Kutai Barat, which is affected by pollution caused by coal mining activities in the area. This research provides a clear overview of the water pollution caused by coal mining companies in the Kedang Pahu River, Kecamatan Damai, Kabupaten Kutai Barat. It is hoped that this research can serve as a basis for taking appropriate measures to address the issue of river water pollution and preserve the river ecosystem, which is crucial for human and other living beings' livelihoods.
