Abstract
There are many online investment applications that do not have permission from the competent authorities or are often called fraudulent investments. Fraudulent investments often promise very large profits in a short time to potential investors. One example of an online investment fraud case is the bittorent trust website. The mode of deception that is often used is scamming. The formulation of the problem in this paper is whether the protection of victims of fraudulent investment according to statutory regulations has fulfilled the protection of victims from the point of view of victimology. The research method used is normative. The conclusion at this writing is that it is difficult for victims of fraudulent investments to obtain their right to compensation.
