Abstract

This study aims to determine the responsibilities given through PT PELNI Merauke Branch to users of goods transportation services by sea. The benefit of this research is to provide input to those who need to overcome the obstacles that occur in the transportation of goods by sea. Empirical legal research method with research that emphasizes social facts and obtains data by conducting interviews and literature studies. The results of the research are that the accountability of PT PELNI Merauke Branch has not been fully implemented properly according to the applicable regulations due to the many internal and external factors that become obstacles in carrying out these responsibilities. Suggestions for PT PELNI Merauke Branch to strictly prioritize existing rules, so that errors in transporting goods by sea can be minimized properly.
