Abstract
In Yogyakarta there is a trend of crime involving people getting affected, this crime is called klitih. Klitih is actually not a crime, but an activity that is carried out at night with the aim of having fun, such as eating in angkringan, riding a motorbike. However, this term which initially had no element of crime, instead became a crime because there were persons who committed crimes at night, which were carried out in groups. Crimes committed in the form of beatings, torture, to murder. so that the term klitih in Yogyakarta has become a crime trend that is troubling Yogyakarta residents and its surroundings. with this the role of Polda DIY is very much needed in tackling this Klitih problem. from the data owned by Polda DIY, it is easier to take steps to counteract klitih crimes because the data they have is summary data from one province in the special region of Yogyakarta which includes Yogyakarta, Sleman, Bantul, Gunung Kidul, Kulon Progo. after knowing all the data reports from the police in each district, the DIY Polda DIY will carry out a countermeasure. This countermeasure was carried out in three (3) ways, namely pre-emptive efforts carried out by the DIY Ditbinmas Polda, preventive carried out by Ditintelam and Sabhara Polda DIY and repressive carried out by the Direskrimum Polda DIY. This role aims to prevent the criminal acts of Klitih that are rife in the Special Region of Yogyakarta no longer happening and the community becomes comfortable in carrying out activities without fear of criminal acts of Klitih
