Abstract

The problem of illegal gold mining which results in forest destruction, landslides, and social conflicts between miners which continue to cause fatalities. The abundant potential for gold mining has attracted a lot of public attention, so many people have come and so far there are still lots of Unlicensed Gold Mining in various areas which are increasingly widespread, one of which is in East Dumoga District, Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Illegal gold mining in the Bolaang Mongondow area has been going on for decades. Having abundant gold potential makes Dumoga a gold resource area. Law enforcement starts from preventive efforts including negotiation, supervision, information, advice and repressive efforts starting from investigations, to the application of sanctions, both administrative and criminal law.
