Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of BKPSDM Yogyakarta City in handling civil servant divorce, the obstacles in handling divorce and efforts to prevent civil servant divorce in Yogyakarta City. The research method used is an empirical legal research method that focuses on social facts. Data collection was carried out by conducting interviews with respondents. The data analysis method used is qualitative analysis. Based on data from research results, the role of BKPSDM Yogyakarta City in carrying out mediation has not been very effective in reducing the divorce rate of civil servants in Yogyakarta City, because there are obstacles in carrying out mediation including couples not wanting to meet, the distance between the two partners, the partner's openness and the partner's willingness to be coached, However, on the other hand, the Yogyakarta City BKPSDM was successful in bringing order to administration if there were civil servants who divorced, so that from 2020 to 2023, the Yogyakarta City BKPSDM did not find any violations by civil servants who did not include permission from officials.
