Abstract

The environment is one of the important components for human life. Waste disposal must be managed first so that the content of hazardous materials or residual production substances can be decomposed properly. So as to reduce the potential for environmental pollution. The Yogyakarta City Environmental Agency has the task of assisting the governor in organizing environmental and forestry affairs. Melia Purosani Hotel is one of the industrial sectors that provides lodging facilities, services, and food and beverage services. The formulation of the problem in this thesis, to find out how the supervision of the Yogyakarta City Environmental Agency on the waste management of Melia Purosani Hotel, and what are the obstacles of the Yogyakarta City Environmental Agency in supervising the management of Melia Purosani Hotel Waste. This legal research is empirical research, namely research conducted with a focus on social facts about the object to be studied. Supervision carried out by the Yogyakarta City Environmental Service has been carried out well, but not optimally due to a lack of Human Resources. Waste management carried out by Melia Purosani Hotel has been done well.
