Abstract

Green Open Space is a combination of various wide, open spaces in urban areas which contain various vegetation (endemic, introduced), plants and vegetation to provide direct and/or indirect benefits in urban areas. To get these benefits, the provision of green open space must meet the broad reach, namely 30% of the urban area which is divided into two green open spaces, 20% public green open space managed by the government and 10% private green open space managed by the private sector/community. This research aims to evaluate the availability of green open space in Bekasi City which has not been met in accordance with the minimum achievements of green open space as seen from the area, distribution and condition with the basis used being evaluation theory, green open space theory and Peraturan Daerah Kota Bekasi Nomor 13 Tahun 2011 Tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Kota Bekasi 2011 – 2031. In this research there are seven types of public green open spaces, namely City Parks, City Forests, Median and Street Islands, Pedestrian Paths, River Borders, Electricity Network Borders and Public Cemeteries. The analytical method used is the empirical method. The research results show that the availability of green open space in Bekasi City is still below the standards of Peraturan Daerah Kota Bekasi Nomor 13 Tahun 2011 Tentang Rencana Tata Ruang Kota Bekasi 2011 – 2031, the achievement of green open space in Bekasi City is 8.23% of the area of Bekasi City.
