Abstract
This research aims to examine the influence of psychographic characteristics of investor behavior, psychographic characteristics influence the type of investment you choose, the influence of demographic characteristics on investor behavior, the influence of demographic characteristics of the type of investment you choose. In this study, the research object is the investor who dwelt in Yogyakarta. The samples in this study were selected with particular consideration, that in this study the respondents in particular are people who have invested in stocks. The number of samples in this study amounted to 75 respondents. Inferential data analysis in this study dilakuakan with chi-square test. The results of this study show that: (1) does not fully psychographic characteristics that affect the behavior of investors, from four factors: selfconfident, careful spenders, innovative risk and debt avoider, just careful spenders are having an effect on investor behavior. (2) psychographic characteristics did not affect the type of investment. (3) does not fully demographic characteristics affect the behavior of investors, from six demographic characteristics that affect only the gender, marital status, and number of family members. (4) does not fully demographicc characteristics that affect the type of investment, of the six characteristics that affect only one gender.
