Abstract
This legal writing is entitled “The Process of Investigation towards the Underage Who Conduct Larceny”. The background of this research was various kinds of crime happened in society currently is not conducted by the adults, however it is often heard that there has been criminal action of which is conducted by the underage. Nowadays there was often faced any underage who aberrantly behave. It is caused by the change of life style and pattern of some people in society. Based on aforementioned background, the author conducted normative research, i.e. a research of which study the valid norms. The data sources used in this research were primary and secondary legal research. Primary legal source includes regulations relating to this legal writing. Secondary legal source was gained from literatures, result of research, and relating paperwork. The primary data was gained from interview to the source person. The gained data was then analyzed by qualitative analysis method, of which is processed and compiled systematically. The conclusion was drawn by deductive reasoning method. From the result of this research, the author gains conclusion the police gives particular treatment in conducting investigation towards the children who conduct criminal action of larceny. Meanwhile the barriers in conducting investigation towards the children as the perpetrator of larceny faced by Police Force of Indonesia are internal and external barriers. Internal barrier is unwillingness of underage to confess their action. Meanwhile external barrier is incognizant of parent towards their children who conduct criminal action of larceny.
