Abstract

The importance of government involvement in providing rehabilitation to child victims of sexual violence is the main focus of this legal research. Clear and decisive government policies are needed to ensure the future well-being of these victims. The implementation of these policies should be carried out by competent agencies, such as social institutions and law enforcement authorities. The research problem in this study is how the legal policy regarding the rehabilitation of child victims of sexual violence operates within the juvenile justice system. The aim of this research is to gather the necessary data to analyze this legal policy. The research method used is normative law, which focuses on positive legal norms related to the government's efforts in rehabilitating child victims. Data collection is conducted through literature review and interviews with experts. The results of the research show that in each region there are regulations regulated by the Governor, one of whose authorities is the legal basis for providing rehabilitation efforts to child victims. Therefore, legislation is needed that regulates this matter to avoid a legal vacuum. Academics, legislators, law enforcement officials and the community are expected to play a role in formulating and implementing policies that ensure the rehabilitation rights of child victims are guaranteed, as well as eliminating the stigma attached to them in society.
