Abstract

Land procurement for development in the public interest is an activity to obtain land by providing compensation to the land owner. Problems regarding land acquisition for public purposes involving the government and the community also occurred in land acquisition issues in the Garongan-Congot Segment, Kulon Progo Regency related to the construction of the Southern Cross Road (JJLS). This research was conducted to find out (your problem formulation). The type of research carried out is empirical legal research. The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of providing compensation for freehold land in land acquisition for the construction of the Southern Cross Road (JJLS) in Karangwuni Village, Wates District, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta is not fully in accordance with the regulations in the Law. The provision of compensation money to land ownership holders whose land is affected by the construction of the Southern Cross Roads (JJLS) has not yet fully received the compensation money for all affected residents, this then creates social problems in the community between communities that have received compensation and communities that have not received any loss.
