Abstract
Waste management in the Special Region of Yogyakarta is currently experiencing problems. The landfill needed in accordance with the needs of Yogyakarta's environment is a dumping site that meets feasibility standards so that it does not cause negative impacts both to the environment and the community. But currently the provision of land is hampered because urban areas have very limited availability of open land. Therefore, there is a need for alternative waste management as an effort to solve the problem of the Piyungan landfill which is currently closed.
