Abstract
The aim of this research is to find out and examine sanctions against perpetrators of sea sasi violators in the Alifuru tribe customary law community in Ameth village, Nusalaut District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. In writing this law, we use a type of normative legal research. This research is about the norms of sanctions against perpetrators of sea sasi violators in the customary law community of the Alifuru tribe in Ameth village, Nusalaut District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province. In the traditional law community of the Alifuru tribe in Ameth Village, violations of Sasi Laut have serious consequences regulated by local customary norms. Sanctions applied to perpetrators of violations of Sasi Laut are not only punitive in nature, but also include aspects of social work and restoration of ecosystem balance. Decisions regarding sanctions are taken through deliberation with the community, reflecting participation and consensus in maintaining the sustainability of marine resources and maintaining social harmony. This sanctions system aims not only to punish, but also to educate and ensure the restoration of natural balance.
