Abstract

Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Crimes of Sexual Violence was enacted more than a year ago, but cases of sexual violence in 2023 are still rampant. This research aims to determine legal protection and government action plans against criminal acts of sexual violence. This type of legal research is normative legal research. The form of protection for victims of sexual violence in this law is explained in Article 26 paragraph (1), which writes "Victims can be accompanied by a Companion at all levels of examination in the judicial process". In the context of the action plan, the Government will form at least 7 (seven) derivative regulations from Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Crimes of Sexual Violence. Based on the legal writing that has been done, the author concludes that the protection of victims of sexual violence in the Sexual Violence Crime Law regulates in more detail the protection of victims of sexual violence.
