Abstract

The title of this research is Legal Aspects of Community Role in Waste Management through Apple Waste Bank as an Effort to Prevent Environmental Pollution in Depok Sleman. this research explains and examines (1) How are the legal aspects of waste management through waste banks as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in Depok Sleman? (2) How is the role of the community in supporting waste management through waste banks as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in Depok Sleman? This research was conducted in Condongcatur, Depok District, Sleman Regency, and is an empirical legal research. Data collection techniques were conducted directly from sources and respondents through interviews and literature studies. The results of this study are that the legal aspects of waste management through the role of waste banks have been well regulated in Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and anagement, Law Number 18 of 2008 concerning Waste anagement, and Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number 14 of 2021 concerning Waste Management in Waste Banks. Waste banks play a significant role in waste management efforts and the role of the community in preventing environmental pollution is realized with the establishment of the Apple Waste Bank.
