Abstract
The crime of verbal sexual harassment is a form of gender violence that is often experienced by women in various places, including in the city of Yogyakarta. This research aims to analyze the legal protection provided by the Yogyakarta Police to female victims of criminal acts of verbal sexual harassment in the city of Yogyakarta. Data was obtained through literature study and interviews with related sources. The results of the research show that legal protection for women victims of criminal acts of verbal sexual harassment in the city of Yogyakarta is still not optimal. Several factors such as lack of public awareness and weak law enforcement are obstacles in providing adequate protection for victims. Therefore, more serious efforts are needed from various parties to increase legal protection for women victims of criminal acts of verbal sexual harassment in the city of Yogyakarta.
