Abstract

This legal research is entitled "IMPLEMENTATION OF REGISTRATION OF THE TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP RIGHTS TO LAND DUE TO INHERITANCE IN THE CITY OF SURAKARTA. This research aims to find out how land ownership transfers are recorded and what obstacles occur in the process of registering transfers of land ownership rights due to inheritance in the City of Surakarta. The number of respondents used in this research was 10 people and used empirical legal research methods, namely by using facts in the field using primary data as the main data. The research results show that registering the transfer of ownership rights to land has different obstacles for each respondent, such as distance, time, costs. And not all respondents know the procedure for registering the transfer of ownership rights to land due to inheritance. The research results also explain that there are several respondents who have completed the registration of the transfer of ownership rights to land due to inheritance, but there are still some who are still in the process. Not all respondents realize the importance of immediately registering the transfer of ownership rights to land due to inheritance. Even though this has been stated in Article 42 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Government Regulation No. 24 of 1971.
