Abstract
This study examines the accessibility for persons with disabilities in elections in the city of Yogyakarta. The issues addressed in this research pertain to the fulfillment of accessibility for persons with disabilities according to the various types of disabilities at polling stations in Yogyakarta and the challenges encountered in its implementation. The research method employed is a normative legal research method. The findings of the research indicate that the fulfillment of accessibility for persons with disabilities in TPS in Yogyakarta City has shown a positive trend compared to previous elections. This is evident in the increasing number of persons with disabilities registered on the voter list in Yogyakarta City. In the 2017 local elections, the number of persons with disabilities registered by the Yogyakarta City KPU was 837 voters, increasing to 1,679 voters in the 2019 elections and 3,363 voters in the 2024 elections. The obstacles encountered include the internalization of KPU regulations, where all KPU staff need to understand the relevant regulations and PKPU guidelines. Other obstacles include disseminating information and conducting disability-friendly socialization.
