Abstract

Crew members need safety guarantees in their lives. Safety guarantees for crew members through insurance cover the interests of crew members in facing high risk safety and in the event of an accident at sea there must be welfare guarantees for the captain and crew, and the insurance obtained by the crew or captain can be fully covered by insurance. The insurance policy is not covers all risks faced by crew members, such as pre-existing health conditions, shipping companies must carry out and ensure that the insurance policy covers all main risks and consider coverage, delays in paying crew insurance premiums, namely paying the amount of money that must be paid by the shipping company or ship owner to insurance to obtain insurance protection for crew members, this premium is determined by various factors which reflect the level of risk faced by crew members, insurance guarantees are only given to the crew of the ship which can be proven by the presence of the crew, so that payment of contributions or premiums must cover accident insurance funds. crew for each contract with proof.
