Abstract

This Legal Memorandum with the title “ Legal Protection of Famous YouTuber Case Against Alleged Doxing Crime”. Personal data is highly protected due to its inclusion of specific individual information. Therefore, individuals must guard their personal information from others or limit sharing it on social media. This legal memorandum employs normative research methods, focusing on existing regulations as primary sources and legal theories as secondary sources. The data collection technique used is literature review. Based on the analysis, the actions of the petitioner in the legal memorandum constitute doxing, as they involve acquiring and disseminating personal information about individuals without legal authorization. Encouraging others to send someone else's personal data without the owner's consent is a violation of regulations protecting privacy and personal data. Actions that can be taken include self-defense and pursuing resolution through restorative justice.
