Abstract

The purpose of creating the law entitled: Aspects of legal protection against Bogowonto River due to waste from Tofu and Batik factories in Purworejo Regency is so that the author knows about the legal protection from pollution in the Bogowonto River in Purworejo district and the obstacles in overcoming factory waste pollution in the Bogowonto River. The type of research used in this legal writing is Empirical legal research by conducting direct observations of Bogowonto and linking the problems occurring in the field with normative regulations. In writing this law, primary data consists of a number of direct interviews with sources who are experts in their fields, consisting of the Head of the Purworejo Environmental Service and Residents of Baledono Village, Purworejo, Central Java. This research also used respondents, namely the people around Bogowonto. The location used for this research is Purworejo Village, Purworejo Regency, Central Java. The research results show that preventing pollution in the Bogowonto River is done by regularly monitoring and checking the level of water pollution. The obstacles in overcoming river water pollution is due to the lack of awareness from the surrounding community and public ignorance regarding this matter environmental aspects.
