Abstract

Children are the next generation of the nation and have the right to live and receive protection from their families, communities, and the state according to Law No. 35 of 2014. However, social problems such as bad behavior and sexual crimes are increasingly complex, often caused by easy access to pornographic content and lack of parental supervision. In this case, of course, BPRSR has an important role in providing guidance to children as perpetrators of criminal acts. The formulation of the research in this writing is to find out whether the guidance carried out by BPRSR is in accordance with applicable provisions? And are there any obstacles in guidance at BPRSR Yogyakarta? To get answers to the formulation of the problem, this research was conducted normatively with an approach through related regulations - regulations. The results of this study are that the training carried out at BPRSR is in accordance with Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Justice System and the obstacles that occur in the training process including lack of social workers, limited facilities and infrastructure, lack of socialization, it is hoped that this study can be an input to improve the training process at BPRSR Yogyakarta.
